The Wines of Famed Importer Eric Solomon
Over the past thirty years, Eric Solomon has been one of the most dynamic and exciting personalities in the wine business. Learning to play the drums in his youth, Solomon was studying music in England when he was bit by the “wine bug,” while working at a London wine bar. He spent the next several years working in the vineyards of France before returning to the U.S. and taking a job as a fine wine wholesaler. After tiring of the corporate side of the business, he broke off in 1989 and founded European Cellars.
