The brilliant 2007 Axios has an opaque purple color, a beautiful, sweet mulberry, black cherry, and cassis nose, and hints of crushed rock, flowers, and licorice, with subtle background oak. With its superb opulence, layered mouthfeel, and seamless finish, this could well turn out to be even better than the 2005, but it is still a youngster and unevolved, even compared to the 2005. It should last for 20 years. 95+ Points Wine Advocate
Aromas of peach, hazelnut and spiced candied apple. Round, creamy notes of fig, butterscotch and sweet oak. Butternut Chardonnay pairs well with Asian dishes, grilled fish and pork.
Mint notes accent blueberry and plum fruit, while hints of tar and black olive add a savory edge. This medium- to full-bodied Shiraz is creamy on the midpalate, but firms up enough on the finish to pair well with burgers or steaks. Drink now-2020 90 Points Wine Enthusiast
May we present a casual dalliance with more than one partner – a provocative blend of: Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and mixed red varietals. Ripe red and dark berry fruit, slight black pepper/white pepper, creme de cassis. Ripe red and dark berry friut with hints of black pepper. Winery
The nose is captivating, with wild, spicy aromas and a hit of rose petal surrounding a core of rich dark fruit. The palate is full and round with a velvety mouthfeel and long, lingering finish. This is a special Cabernet. Only 200 cases produced.
Concerto Gruner-Veltliner (or “Gru-Vee”) Wine is a perfect example of Austria’s best-loved white wine varietal. Neither sweet nor exceedingly dry, Gruner Veltliner wines are by far Austria’s most popular whites; as a result, nearly all of the grape’s annual yield is consumed domestically in Austria.
Made by the veteran winemaker Nick Goldschmidt, this is a good Cabernet showing characteristic Napa qualities. It's dry and smooth in tannins, with cassis, blackberry and oak flavors. 86 Points Wine Enthusiast
