Altano Douro
The 2010 Altano red is a blend of Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca. With a touch of roasted herbs, this elegant, well priced bargain is fruity and bright. It is modestly concentrated, but it has a little structure. It is drinking quite well--and rather better than I thought it would. It is clean and tasty and quite charming with a slightly crisp edge. For the price, it is a nice pickup, likely to be early maturing. Drink now-2017. 86 Points Wine Advocater
