{"id":274,"date":"2014-10-23T13:20:21","date_gmt":"2014-10-23T17:20:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marketviewliquor.com\/blog\/?p=274"},"modified":"2019-08-02T14:06:01","modified_gmt":"2019-08-02T18:06:01","slug":"bogle-wine-california-wine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marketviewliquor.com\/blog\/bogle-wine-california-wine\/","title":{"rendered":"Bogle&#8217;s Time to Shine"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"h2\"><strong>Bogle Vineyards<\/strong>, located in the unlikely region of <strong>California\u2019s Sacramento Valley<\/strong>, is a great American success story.<\/div>\n<div class=\"text\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p><strong>Patty &amp; Chris Bogle<\/strong> were married in 1973, and took on caring for some small vineyards that Chris and his father had planted, mainly selling the fruit to larger wineries.In 1979 they founded their family-named winery, with the intention of making a small amount of wine commercially under the Bogle banner.Their goal was to produce about 4,000 cases of wine a year, a modest, small-scale aspiration. Fast-forward thirty five years; Bogle is now <strong>producing over one million cases a year<\/strong>, and are estimated to be the 14<sup>th<\/sup>largest winery in the country!<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8220;It was intended to be a small thing, an interesting project,&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> the late <strong>Patty Bogle<\/strong> said in 2009 about the winery&#8217;s beginnings. <strong><em>&#8220;We just grew as demand grew.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Still family owned and operated by Chris and Patty\u2019s children, Bogle has carved out a niche with customers, releasing clean, bright, fruit-forward wines that remain very reasonably priced. Wines with integrity, that display true voluptuous California character, are still family-owned, and by no means going to break the bank are more and more a rarity these days, and Bogle shows no signs of slowing down.\u00a0In fact, <strong>two of Bogle\u2019s wines just received incredible scores from the Wine Enthusiast!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The relatively new <strong>Bogle Essential red blend<\/strong> was rewarded a stunning <strong>91 Point review<\/strong>, and their <strong>2012 Pinot Noir received\u00a0\u00a0stellar 90 Points!<\/strong>\u00a0You\u2019d be hard pressed to find another California Pinot Noir for under $10 with a 90 Point rating!<\/p>\n<p>Bogle is by no means an under-the-radar, cult winery, but it seems that both consumers and the wine press are starting to realize just how ridiculously good these wines are for the money.
