Balcones Texas Single Malt Whisky / 750mL

Each batch is aged in several barrels of different sizes and woods, then finished in large barrels composed of various woods. This is done to ensure that the natural flavors of the malted barley are complemented, rather than overshadowed by the wood extraction. By rotating the spirit, different characteristics emerge from each type of wood, depending on the size of the barrel and how long the whisky rests inside. The resulting spirit offers rich, well-integrated notes of pralines, vanilla, brown sugar and caramel, which evolve into ripe pear, citrus fruit and raisin. The lingering finish offers a lovely toasted malt character, accented by oak and spice.
