Description
Plum and cherry fruits are backed by Szechuan peppercorns, cloves and mint on this characterful Shiraz. There's a good lick of cola oak here too. The palate is fresher than expected, wound by taut tannins that feel a bit austere. It has a burst of tangy fruit and an intriguing spice rack of flavors, but the wine needs plenty of protein to cut through those tannins. 89 Points Wine Enthusiast
