Col D'Orcia Olmaia Cabernet Sauvignon / 750 ml

This wine is no longer classified as a Sant'Antimo and is an IGT Toscana instead. The organic Col d'Orcia 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Olmaia is a rich, muscular and concentrated red. It offers soft fruit with no greenness, but it almost behaves like a Sangiovese with dark plum and blackberry. There is a ferrous note of rusty nail, and the wine concludes with velvety tannins and a medium-rich mouthfeel. I get a hint of smoked tobacco as well. 93 Points Wine Advocate
