Marchand-Tawse Beaune Premier Cru Le Clos Du Roi / 750mL

A blend of Rognets and Renardes, with 50% new wood. Rich deep purple. This is sturdy stuff, yet with a damask texture. There is a lot of wine here but it is unforced, and keeps on building to the back of the palate. The fruit and structure are both excellent, with a good point of acidity.
