Description
Next to the 2018, I also tasted the 2019 Eolo. In this vintage, the barrels were one-third each new, second use and third use, and the other half of the wine matured in third use oak foudre. The wine has lower impact from the elevage despite being one year younger than the 2018. But more importantly, they have conducted a soil study with Guillermo Corona and divided the vineyard by soils and have adapted details to the soils, and there's more precision in the wine. Also, the year was cooler, and the wine has more freshness; the wine is elegant, powerful, floral and serious, with very fine tannins. This has to be one of the finest vintages for this wine. Bravo! 13,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2020.
