Description
The 2018 Cabernet Franc was aged in 30% new American oak and comes in at just 11.5% alcohol. Probably a bit thin and somewhat pale in color, this gets most of its flavor from the new wood, while the fruit is hard to find. That said, I'll concede that it tastes pretty good anyway in its mint-and-coconut demeanor, and there is still decent structure here. It doesn't taste much like Cab Franc, though. While it is probably well off the norm, it's not a bad off-vintage effort. Its good structure will help it along. It should pair well with appropriate foods at the table. For sure, it's not a simple sipper 85 Points Wine Advocate
